Default W/Me, Baubao's Shell Farm

This is what we are after, for it's nice looking skin.

And here is where we find it:

I suggest you start from the Marketplace to get to The Undercity.

What are we up against: Kappa
What skills do they use? Conjure Frost, Rust, Mind Freeze, Enervating Charge
And Baubao? Same skill setup as the rest, only he is level 24.

Weapon Set:
Stance or while Hexed equipment, funnily enough the very item your farming is perfect for the build it self.

Mods: Prefix: Barbed, Cruel, Furious.
Suffix: Warding, Defense, Fortitude.

Skills:
Sever, Gash, Victory is Mine, Sprint, Elemental Resistance, Watch Yourself, Healing Signet, Dolyak Signet.

Attribute Points:
7-8 inspiration
5 Strenght
12-14 Sword
Maxed out Tactics.

The attributes are not set in stone, neither are the skills. Depending on either Legionnaire's or Beserkers you can experiment with superior / minor runes to your liking. The numbers provided are mearly an indication of what you could use. A Lieutenants Helm could be used.

Getting to the Undercity is not much of a problem, just heal up in a safe spot using Healing Signet. Might take you a few tries to figure out the fastest way to get there, but it's not hard so I'll leave you to it.

Once in the Undercity follow the map provided, sprinting past any Am Fah you encounter. Once you reach a merchant and a weapon crafter(who provides equipemnt 'while hexed'). There are 2 / 3 groups of Kappa. Aggro all of them between Sever / Gash / ViM you be able to survive with the tanking skills provided. Spread the conditions among several of em and use ViM accordingly. When not under Rust (won't happen often), you are free to use Healing Signet.

Drops?
About 2-3k in drops. The Shell itself randomly haven't been able to put a number on it yet.

Difficulty: Only tricky part might be the run at times, even that is easy enough. The Kappa are nothing to worry about.

Enjoy this little farm,

I found it easier to run to the right and around when you enter the undercity. The suggested run is not very hard unless you die or take too long. Once some patrols reach a point towards the end of the run it can be very difficult because of traps in a tight corridor. However running to the right is very easy as there is lot's of space to run with no fear of traps.

Once you are there however it is extremely easy. In my estimation you don't need watch yourself or heal signet. Towards the end I was no longer even putting up Dolyak. I am going to try this by replacing watch yourself with drunken blow and heal signet with epidemic. Seems like that would be a really fast way to kill the bastiches and ensure you have a constant supply of health. I will let you know how it works out.

Someone (me) forgot about the run there. Replacing drunken blow with heal sig. I still think epidemic will pwn them. We shall see.

Stats wise it's exactly the same thing, but it's all about the skin and the thrill of trying the build.

Ironically, I use the very collectors shield you are speaking of during the run there.

Final thought: I realized that since I will have epidemic with me I don't need gash as I will have more than enough conditions already. So I brought drunken blow instead of gash this time for the extra damage and something else to spam since I have so much energy.

Yay me, this works WAAAAY faster. If the groups bundle up tightly they are dropping like flies.

Thanks for the post and the inspiration!

Final update: Got my shell on the third run. Drops in here are pretty bad but you get a lot of crafting materials. After three runs I had like 6-7 steel, tons of iron and wood as well. Also a decent amount of cash. Don't get me wrong, there are better places to farm but this isn't terrible.

Also, don't take the path from your map, go south first and around to the location. It is a way easier run because the corridors are not as tight so you can avoid traps more easily.

Glad ppl are trying and liking it. What I like evern better is ppl coming up with stuff for themselves. Nothing is ever set in stone, like i said in the guide experiment with it, and have fun with it.

To me the run was just a minor thing

Shield Get! And it's a great spot for Experience farming... (With 264 skill points spent, you'd think I'd have Scourge Healing... ugh.)

PM me in game and let me see what you are doing. I will help. This one is pretty easy so you are likely doing something wrong that should be simple to fix.

I got a shell on the third run, as well, after tweaking the build a bit (and Epidemic really does work great). I agree about the run; the southern path is much more open, and there are only two groups of Am Fah to run past.

Also, in just under ten runs, I got both a gold crenellated and celestial sword, so the run isn't completely unprofitable besides the shell.

Easy/Safe way to the undercity

Very nice build and good idea to put epidemic in it. Didnt get the shield yet, but i will try again tonight

I also made a little video, if more people would have problems with it.

I posted this a few weeks ago on another site, but as you seem more interested I shall give you my version.

"Victory is Mine"
Drunken Blow
Desperation Blow
Epidemic
Sprint
Doylak Signet
Mantra of Frost
Healing Signet (for getting there)

Inspiration 12
Strength 8+1+3
Tactics 10+3

As you spend all the time weakened there isn't much point putting any points into your weapon attribute

Basically you just keep Mantra of Frost up which provides you with unlimited energy, Use Doylak Signet before ay Desperation/Drunken Blow and Epidemic to spread the conditions around to the rest of them.

VIM is just there to heal you up as using a Healing Signet will leave you vunerable for six seconds due to Rust.

I got Baubao's Shell first time I managed to fight him (he gets killed by Am Fam a lot) and also a max. Celestial Longbow which I didn't know dropped there

Tried out the build, it works great. Occaisonally I'll get a dp, but I can easily work it off by killing some Kappa. Got the Shell on my second run. I also found an alternate route to get to the undercity. Don't know if these pcitures and/or links will work or not, trying a new picture hosting site. Hope this helps.

Hmm...I tried Bucephalus's build and seemed to die trying as soon as I get in range of the Kappa. I am at half health by the time I get 1 drunken and desperation off, immediately hit VIM and don't really get healed enough to make it to the next VIM. I may need to get that shield from the desert first? Right now I am using one that is +59 while hexed...but no -damage while hexed.

I went back and added both Mantra of Frost and Elemental Resistance and was able to kill one group of 4, but when I aggroed 2 groups I died again. I try to get the group when they are tight together but epidemic seems to only spread it to 1-2 kappa at the most. Any other hints/strats?

I tried this last night and my runs went about the same as chokillates. I managed to take out a few groups when I could get them huddled together but they usually stayed far enough apart that my epidemic didn't spread enough for ViM to keep up with the healing. It's probably just because I'm coming back after a long break and I'm rusty but I'm wondering if the recent AC change has made this harder?

Yeah, now all reduced recieved damage is vs physical only. This farming could be nerfed now?

Hi, I just tried the run, but had the same problems as ChoKILLate. Is this nerfed now or is there still a way to farm this shield?
